A Book Review
It was a cute love story. I loved Redford Morgan and Chloe Sofia Brown. The cover of the book is really cute.
Chloe being a patient of chronic illness (fibromyalgia) wants to get her life back and live like a normal person of her age and decides to make a seven-point list. Moving into an apartment is the first entry of her list and she accomplishes it easily. She meets Red who is the superintendent of her apartment building.
Chloe and Red both have their own insecurities. Chloe after being diagnosed by a chronic illness was ghosted by her fiancé and her friends. Red has a past which makes him believe that he is not a good artist which is a false assumption because he is quite talented.
They both get to know each other and they start falling for each other when Red suggests helping Chloe with certain entries of her list like riding a motorbike, enjoying a drunk night out and go camping.
The book is quite well written and addresses fibromyalgia. I got to know a lot about it as I listened to this book.
The book was a little too steamy and language was a little inappropriate for me.
I will definitely recommend this book and will definitely go for the next book in series Take a Hint, Dani Brown.
Synopsis
A witty, hilarious romantic comedy about a woman who’s tired of being “boring” and recruits her mysterious, sexy neighbor to help her experience new things—perfect for fans of Sally Thorne, Jasmine Guillory, and Helen Hoang!
Chloe Brown is a chronically ill computer geek with a goal, a plan, and a list. After almost—but not quite—dying, she’s come up with seven directives to help her “Get a Life”, and she’s already completed the first: finally moving out of her glamorous family’s mansion. The next items?
- Enjoy a drunken night out.
- Ride a motorcycle.
- Go camping.
- Have meaningless but thoroughly enjoyable sex.
- Travel the world with nothing but hand luggage.
- And... do something bad.
But it’s not easy being bad, even when you’ve written step-by-step guidelines on how to do it correctly. What Chloe needs is a teacher, and she knows just the man for the job.
Redford ‘Red’ Morgan is a handyman with tattoos, a motorcycle, and more sex appeal than ten-thousand Hollywood heartthrobs. He’s also an artist who paints at night and hides his work in the light of day, which Chloe knows because she spies on him occasionally. Just the teeniest, tiniest bit.
But when she enlists Red in her mission to rebel, she learns things about him that no spy session could teach her. Like why he clearly resents Chloe’s wealthy background. And why he never shows his art to anyone. And what really lies beneath his rough exterior…
