Book Review:
This perfect YA romance by Suzanne Park is so unique and fresh.
Nate Jae-Woo Kim is a studious nerdy boy who is a high school senior and works in a zombie-themed escape room. He meets Kate Anderson, the daughter of the owner of a leading technology company. Her dad is quite overprotective of her and wants her to join his business whereas she wants to be an actress. She comes up with a plan and so that she can go to New York City to chase her dreams. She convinces Nate to be his partner and participate in a Zombie-themed survivalist competition with a huge cash prize. If they win, Kate can go to NYC and Nate can help his parents financially, save for his college tuition, and invest in his business. They both participate in the competition and have to face a lot of different challenges.
I totally loved this book. It is so different from the mainstream High School drama. All the characters are so loveable. The scenes of the escape room and survivalist competition are so wonderfully written. This book is a perfect read and escape in this quarantine time.
